Aeaea Studio
Meet Lydia Ciaputa, MM Vocal Performance ‘18
Lydia Ciaputa is a Greek-American soprano from New York now living in Europe. Incorporating her knowledge of history and art, she is an advocate for the interdisciplinary interpretation of creative outlets, considering the visual arts and their relation to music, or, art in space versus art in time. With live performances paused, Lydia wanted to explore a new medium during lockdown and discovered polymer clay…thus Aeaea Studio was born! The name Aeaea comes from the mythical Greek island where the sorceress Circe lived. A witch to some, a goddess to others, Circe manifested magic, and hopefully you will, too. Each pair of earrings is handmade by Lydia with love.
