Meet Paula Arwen Owen, BFA Product Design ‘99

Paula Arwen Owen grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and now lives in the mountains of Sullivan County, NY, where she creates her artwork using hand cut paper and collage. She combines her interests in mythology, dreams, and the natural world as inspiration for her work. Her artwork explores the contrast of darkness and light, combining simple, elegant lines against tapestries of texture and color to create compelling narrative illustrations.

Her graphic design and illustration work appears on book covers, magazines, textiles, surface design, and greeting cards.  She sells her art and products through her online business, Arwen Designs.
