Meet Justin Blanc, BFA Product Design '12

"My name is Justin and have been known amongst my peers as New York Penn as I’ve focused heavily on illustration for the majority of my career, while letting you know every chance I get that I was born and raised in New York.

During undergrad at Parsons I studied product design with a specialty in footwear, which would expose me to a world outside of the one I’ve grown in by familiarizing me with different aesthetics, processes and cultures. It took COVID happening for me to illustrate my thoughts and expressions on subject matters outside of my comfort zone and I haven’t looked back since.

Here is New York Penn - the culmination of all those years brought together to display my love and appreciation for informed design and incorporating elements of New York City culture, geography, music and overall feeling.
