Under the label 'NOT', designer Jenny Lai creates seasonless ready-to-wear, custom performance-wear for world-renowned classical musicians, contemporary dance and theater, and cross disciplinary projects around the world as a mobile studio.
Transformation and movement is built into each design, engaging the wearer in the creative process. Every garment is designed in her Upper West Side studio and crafted through small scale sourcing and local production. NOT's designs have been featured in WWD, New York Times, Time Magazine, Vogue China, Vice, and Nylon, among others and shown at New York Fashion Week and Paris markets.
