This is an art print of my original cut paper illustration of a story based on folk tales of the New Guinea Islands. A mother sits by the river's edge, sending off her little baby in a canoe. It is a scene reminiscent of the tale of Moses and his mother at the river Nile. This blue and teal toned river is surrounded by mangroves, with a mystical moon crossing the night sky. A unique piece of fairytale art, to hang in your home or give as a gift!
The original art was created using hand cut paper and digital collage. This illustration was originally created for the story "The Fourth" by Naomi Manao for Lackington's Magazine.
These Giclee prints are on high quality matte paper and are printed with archival inks. The paper has a luxurious soft matte finish with rich, vibrant colors.
This is a matted 8" x 8" print.
