Parsons: BFA Product Design '24
I'm Melissa Feder, and my journey began in 2011 when I started chef school. I opened a bakery but realized cooking was just a hobby.
2016, during a family trip to London, I discovered my passion for shoe and bag design. After completing a course in São Paulo, I won an award for a practical bag design. This confirmed my path towards designing with purpose. I founded Féder, a successful Shoe and Bag Brand in São Paulo, and later pursued a Bachelor's in Product and Service Design. In 2022, I joined Parsons as a Product Design Major. I'm passionate about research-based design and creative problem-solving, and always eager to learn new skills. Food still influences my work, and I look forward to sharing more exciting projects with you. Stay tuned for my evolving designs.
